I've been very pleasantly surprised how many of my friends, some whom I haven't seen for ages, live withing striking distance of Wetherspoons I've still to visit. So my diary is full for the next few weeks. I'll soon have enough material for Parts 4 and 5. But I'm not sure when I'll find the time to write them up. Movie news: I’ve actually seen all the ‘Best Picture’ Oscar nominees, and rated them: Anatomy of a Fall ***** Barbie * The Holdovers **** Killers of the Flower Moon *** Maestro ** Oppenheimer *** Past Lives **** Poor Things *** The Zone of Interest *** American Fiction **** Update: Oppenheimer won best pictue at both the Oscars and BAFTAs. But what do they know? I thought it was too long and didn't have enough quantum mechanics. I now taken AI advice and feel quite smug it's come up with pretty much what I'm doing already ....
