  The Lightroom    T he Moonwalkers   is a multi-media showcase of the Apollo moon landings (1969-1972). It also looks forward to the resumption of manned flights to the moon in 2025 with the Artemis programme. In Greek mythology Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo.                Unlike the young man next to me, glued to his iPad for the whole show, I really enjoyed this. But then, I was captivated by the space programme from the age of nine, with Laika the Soviet space dog aboard Sputnik 2.     I'm old enough to remember, as a BBC engineer, recording hours of inactivity from the moon with Patrick Moore asleep in my VT cubicle, his tie stained with egg yolk.     Also, on December 31, 1980, with not a great deal of affection, I recall being flown to New York for one night to record the Rose Bowl and carry the tapes safely back to earth.         Westminster Abbey   report posted.                                   ..... new sculptures in Paternoster Square (St Paul's)                                                   ......  The Moonwalkers show at  The Lightroom  posted.     I had the idea of visit every Wetherspoons in Greater London before I realised there are around 100 of them. WESTMINSTER ABBEY

  Westminster Abbey      Founded in 950AD, Westminster Abbey has been the Coronation Church since 1066 when William the Conqueror was crowned on Christmas Day. It is the resting place of more than 3,000 Britons.      Henry III rebuilt the Abbey in the 13th century, designed with long transepts to accommodate many guests for future coronations.      The column on the left is the Crimea Memorial .      Above the Great West Door are ten statues of 20th-century Christian martyrs. C ommemorated are  Maximilian Kolbe ,  Manche Masemola ,  Janani Luwum ,  Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna ,  Martin Luther King Jr.  (above, right) ,  Oscar Romero ,  Dietrich Bonhoeffer ,  Esther John ,  Lucian Tapiedi , and  Wang Zhiming .  The statues were unveiled in 1998.
