LONDON MURAL FESTIVAL PART 6

  London Mural Festival part 6

    Surrey Quays:

Tea Jurisic

David Maker
These two are at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre which is earmarked for demolition. This is unlikely to happen before 2028 but the mall is already looking quite lifeless.
eL Seed
Spring Always Comes Back can be found at Pelican House, SE8 3AP.
After tracking these three down I rounded off the day with a Wetherspoons steak in the Surrey Docks followed by Peter Kay at the O2 Arena.

    Stratford:
Graff Jam??
I guessed this was the listed contribution of Graff Jam as it was the only thing that was new at the given map coordinates. It marked the beginning  of work on a new community playground and outdoor gym to be called Carpenter's Park.
Then, a few weeks later, this appeared next to the playground .....
Cept
The comic-book style of Cept (Mike Ballard) has been a familiar feature of London street art since the 1980s. This is his second work for the festival (see Part 2).

Leyton:
                                                                       Mr Christa
I don't know much about Mr Christa except he's London-based and seems to specialise with working on glass.

Also opposite Yardarm, from the 2020 Mural Festival:
Gary Stranger
Keep Your Mind Busy (yes, that's what it says) was sound guidance at the time, given it was painted during the pandemic. It's good to see it's still in pristine condition  - and Gary's advice just as relevant. It took him three days to complete. Click here for video.
