LONDON MURAL FESTIVAL PART 7
London Mural Festival part 7
Shoreditch/Whitechapel:
Here, in the epicentre of London Street Art, is a late and welcome addition to the festival from Shepard Fairey. Entitled Rise Above Earth Justice, it is supported by the U.S. Embassy and promotes climate awareness. Shepard Fairey's unmistakable imagery includes the scales of justice to represent the fight for environmental justice and a healthier planet. It can be found on Alanby House, Boundary Street, E2 7JD. For more on Shepard Fairey click here.
Sophie Mess has brightened up a lift shaft next to Shoreditch High Street Station.
Itaewon
This is one of three Itaewon creations for the festival. The picture on the right is what it looks like when the doors are closed and the builders not laying concrete.
SMT
This is definitely the correct location, but there's so much graffiti here it's difficult to work out what is SMTs. My best guess is the big silver lettering which looks freshly painted.
45RPM
This bundle of playground fun can be found in Burslem Street, E1 2LL. But, not having a drone, my photo doesn't do it justice so I lifted this from the London Mural Festival website ....
More street art around Shoreditch ......
..... (it's everywhere!) .....
This willdlife looks like it could be the work of Skyhigh (see below) .....
Bromley-by-Bow
Skyhigh
Despite his moniker, Skyhigh is very much down-to-earth in decorating these bicycle lockers (for rental) with photorealistic wildlife.
Werdna
Well, it's not often you arrive at the shops and are disappointed to find them open. So I think I'll have to get up much earlier to see all the shutters closed. Here in St Paul's Way they have been lovingly adorned by Andrew Werdna.
