... although brandishing a can of red spray paint is maybe not the best idea if you're wearing white.














     The regulars are well represented, including Abraham.O, with three offerings ...

      This 3-D image, built up with layers of threads, has to be the painstaking work of Perspicere ... 
    NB Perspicere is the present active infinitive of perspicio, meaning roughly “to see through,” “see clearly” or “perceive". 
(Bob of the Shires or Alec of Tunbridge Wells please check).

     The murals change frequently. But it's good to see two portraits by Olivier Roubieu are still here. The one on the left is of Zabou ...
 
Another mural intended to remain is Blek le Rat's The Red Leopard (2023), which has been covered in protective perspex ...
Born Xavier Prou in 1952, Blek le Rat has been described as  'the  father of Stencil Graffiti'.

     There are also tributes to Helch who died recently ...
'Rest in Paint'
        The street artist Helch, known for murals and tags across England, has died, his gallery has said. He rose to prominence in 2018 by painting his eponymous tag in capital letters across a string of public spots in London as well as bridges on the M4, M1 and M25.

      Getting to Leake Street: In Waterloo Station, head towards The Sidings - platforms 20-24. Go down one floor, take the exit and turn left past Nando's and BrewDog.  In The Sidings there are also toilets, coffee shops and a Wetherspoons - The Lion & Unicorn.

    Tourist tip: the far exit of the Graffiti Tunnel is on Lower Marsh, a pedestrianised street with some great street food ...
